Some rules...
Yes, well... and a little rant too in passing...
We live in an increasingly rigid world. The latest complication has a name that is as off-putting as its purpose: RGPD.
Supposed to ‘protect citizens’ by making everyone responsible (understand: ‘guilty’), the law means that any computer data containing personalised information falls under its provisions. Applicable from May 2018 in all the countries of the European Union, it takes as its model the American ‘big brother’, who doesn't bother with borders when it suits him, and therefore practices ‘extraterritoriality’.
In short, if you're a professional or self-employed, you won't even be able to integrate your contacts' business cards without being held to account (and according to indigestible procedures, while you're at it...).
You'll have to justify what you're doing with this data at all times (because, basically, you're up to no good), know where it's going (if you get hacked, it'll be your fault, a bit like rape, you know...), and be able to certify that it will be deleted if the contact requests it (and not just you: everyone else too, whom you've obviously tracked - sorry, that's not allowed...).
It's not even a joke: it's a sword of Damocles for the little guys (who are experienced IT specialists, or can afford to pay for them, obviously), while scowling at our beloved GAFAs. Judge for yourself: up to 4% of global sales.
Does all this sound indigestible and far-fetched? Think again. (And reread chapter 15: Operation Commando of Three.1: English Synopsis!)
So, as 'dura lex, sed lex', let's be clear between us:

Good luck everyone with the bureaucracy... and the hackers who have nothing better to do!
